From our measurement, we concluded that anonymous online marketplaces and forums provided easy-access platforms for global opioid supply. Our study identified 41,000 opioid trade–related marketplace listings and forum posts by analyzing more than 1 million listings and posts in multiple anonymous marketplaces and forums, which is the largest underground opioid trading data set ever reported.
